About Us

We are Erik and Astrid Romijn, entrepreneurs with heart and soul.

Ten years ago, Erik exchanged his camping store and Astrid her computer training company to jointly build a motorhome park in the big city of The Hague. Those were wonderful years, mainly with international guests. During the high season, fifty motorhomes filled the park with visitors eager to explore the city's sights.

When the motorhome park had to make way for the construction of a tram depot and no suitable alternative location could be found in the wider area, we decided to take a new direction – literally and figuratively.

We fell in love again, this time with Dalerheugte in Southeast Drenthe. A beautiful white country farmhouse with four charming and successful holiday apartments, lovingly built by Marc and Ellen de Kolf, who are now embarking on a new adventure themselves. With great enthusiasm, we took over as the new hosts in early April 2025.

We immediately started expanding: two B&B rooms and four luxury safari tents. With these ten accommodations, we want to offer guests plenty of choice for a stylish overnight stay, whether it's in an apartment, B&B room, or safari tent – each with its own unique charm.
